Indigenous Culture Canada – Curriculum For High Schools

Join the schools and teachers that trust in the Native Canadian culture curriculum at Forget Me Not

Your Trusted Grade 10-12 Native History Lesson Plan For Canadian High Schools

As more of the realities of Native Canadian history is painstakingly unearthed in the 21st century, the time to educate our nation’s youth is now.

However, Canadian teachers and schools are left on their own when it comes to researching and creating an appropriate curriculum. Time constraints on teachers, coupled with a lack of thorough research, mean that far too often the resulting Native history lesson plans are lacking.

Forget Me Not is here to change the narrative – and alleviate the stress of creating an accurate and engaging history plan from scratch.

We provide a truly impactful way to share Indigenous knowledge and culture with Canada’s youth.

With the official mandate of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, it’s especially critical today that Canadians take the time to listen to the stories and experiences that have impacted our country’s Indian Residential School survivors.

By providing a detailed history of the experience of the Indigenous people in Canada from the 15th century – present, our aim is to raise social awareness and shed light on the impacts of Canadian policies over the course of time.

With our engaging lesson plan, your students will gain insight into the history of Native Canadian culture from a firsthand source – and better understand how it continues to impact contemporary Indigenous issues.
